Job Description
Position: Research Analyst / Senior Research Analyst (Economics)
Job Requirements
- Required Bachelors/Masters in Economics with a minimum of 4 years of work experience
- Strong interest/experience in financial domain
- Basic knowledge of equity market is mandatory
- Should be able to establish/understand the interplay between equity market, economics, and sector driven trends
- Excellent written English & communication skills are a must
- Experience in financial journalism will be preferred
- Candidates should be self-starters/self-driven and must be able to work on a beat, write clearly and concisely, generate story ideas, and develop articles/news/reports for media platform
- We are seeking those with clarity of thought, an analytical mind, the ability to write correct, complete, and clean copies
Job Responsibilities
- Planning, Reporting & Covering news/latest updates for a high-end content-driven platform
- Covering industry news, company announcements, financial results, stock price movements, and corporate actions, while also touching upon market catalysts at a global level related to demographics and key economic indicators
- Gaining rich experience of working across different markets, including Equity Market, Currency Market, Commodity Market and Debt Market
- Writing stories/news/blocks in a newsroom that is fast paced, for readers across corporate treasuries, fund managers, policy, banking, credit, investing, and risk management roles
- Developing financial research and macroeconomic articles or sector specific and company specific write-ups
- Responsible for covering breaking news updates and writing trend and analytical stories.
- Spotting potential stories & high impact features from Financial, Equity Market and Investment perspective
- Copy editing and proof-reading Media coverage of events, product launches, brand unveiling as per the requirement
- Update websites with regular reports and news feed
- Ensuring basic sanity, health, hygiene, and quality check for all the stories on the media platform
- Suggest innovative ideas to enhance the website feature and platforms offerings
