Job Description

Position summary

We are looking for a senior Java/J2EE Developer to join the development engineering team, to implement the next generation of features for the application as well as support existing platform. The role offers extensive business and technical challenges in a highly dynamic and collaborative work environment.

At all times you will actively support the development, and drive quality assurance during design and realization of the solution.

Duties & accountabilities

We re looking for a strong and dynamic technical individual to develop and support a highly scalable platform. Hands-on experience is a must.

• Pioneer in designing and providing solutions; build frameworks.

• Development of new components and features in application

• Should be able to work directly with Business Analyst, Operations team and Infrastructure team to understand and resolve issue

• Work on initiatives and improvement process around application health monitoring, reporting, and technical support

• Implement innovative solutions to address business and technical challenges

• Work with other engineering streams like QA, DBA s and Continuous Integration experts to enhance quality metrics

• Support and Maintenance of existing application

• Focus on ensuring Quality Gate Metrics are met as part of code development

• Should be able to guide and train other team members wrt technology and domain

Education and experience

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 6-9 years experience in Java, J2EE development, working on multi-tiered distributed systems using Java, J2EE platform

• Significant hands-on experience in on advanced Java features like Multi-Threading, Concurrency, Serialization, Cloning, Annotations

• Strong experience in relational Databases like Oracle, designing normalized or de-normalized database, writing complex SQL queries & stored procedures

• Experience in profiling an application to troubleshoot issues, monitoring system performance (CPU, memory, processes, threads, network etc.) is a plus

• Basic knowledge of Unix commands is a must.

• Experience in Spring Integration framework, JSON web services, Spring Batch, Spring REST, Spring JDBC Template, Spring Core, Spring MVC.
