Afroz Shah Foundation

Afroz Shah Foundation - a charitable organisation - is founded by Adv. Afroz Shah in 2019. Adv. Afroz Shah - a lawyer by profession - is the recipient of Champion of The Earth Award, a highest International Environmental Award by the UN. Adv. Afroz Shah has won many awards including Indian of the year and CNN Hero Award.

Afroz Shah Foundation is a philanthropic foundation registered under Section 8 of the Companies Act 2013. The foundation is a marriage between Gandhian philosophy of a citizens movement and 21st century structured formal set up to carry out philanthropic activities.

Afroz Shah Foundation carries out its work on ground level to protect and preserve Mother Nature by bringing about behavioural change by doing. Community development is carried out as communities living in the human ocean and human animal conflict zones are trained to adopt a circular economy by implementing projects, thereby, bringing about behavioural change in the citizen consumers. Leaders are being created at the ground level, i.e., at the school level, at the college level, at the slum level (people living in the human ocean conflict zone) and among the general citizens – to train them – to take charge of their community to handle plastic and waste properly.
