Job Description

System Administrator responsibilities include: Installing and configuring software, hardware and networks. Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues. Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure. Duties of a system administrator. .Sysadmins are usually charged with installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems. Other duties may include scripting or light programming, project management for systems-related projects
Responsibilities

Install and configure software and hardware
Manage network servers and technology tools
Set up accounts and workstations
Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
Troubleshoot issues and outages
Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
Upgrade systems with new releases and models
Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
