Job description

The Role

• As a Cloud Platform Linux Engineer, you will be working with a technically skilled team and manage the Linux environment on various Data Centres. Teamwork and collaboration with different team across the globe is part of the job.
• Demonstrate excellent Linux administration skills along with excellent problem solving skills on all the layers of infrastructure components. Managing both private/public cloud environments in accordance with SAP security guidelines.
• Willingness to work in a 16/7 operational environment attending incidents, SRs, P1/P2 bridges, on call duty. Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work. Orchestrating and automating routine tasks to bring efficiency.

Role Requirements

•  B.E./B.Tech/MTech/MCA/MSc Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience with 8-12 years of Linux system administration
  Excellent knowledge on Linux Operating system preferably Suse/Redhat Linux.
• Experience in SUSE HA Cluster administration
  Experience on managing the workload on Public Cloud preferably Microsoft Azure/Google Cloud.
• Sold experience on managing the VMware platform and Physical servers (Cisco UCS/Lenovo etc.).Strong Knowledge on handling the EMC/NetApp Storage on Linux operating system.
• Prior experience on configuration management tools preferably Chef/Ansible
  Strong competency to drive the challenging projects to modernize the infrastructure.Excellent documentation skills to prepare the SOPs.
