Job Description

Job Summary:

The role would include scaling the data management business by formulating and delivering enterprise data management , MDM and data governance solutions to meet the needs of stakeholders at all levels in evolving Healthcare industry. The role will also promote the use of BI and cognitive technologies to share analytical insights to support decision making, effective data governance and enforcing policies / standards. The role would direct and oversee the design and development of systems used for managing data such as data warehouses, data stores, and other business intelligence systems. The role would be responsible for maintaining and monitoring the data systems to ensure they meet clients needs.

Job Role:

 

The key responsibility for an individual playing this role is to strategize data collection, master data management, Enterprise data warehousing and data governance and policies that ensure safe, compliant and ethical use of data both internally and externally and drive growth

  • Develop Indegene business with enterprise data management and governance solutions and IP strategy,
  • Strengthen the organization's partnership with existing and new clients, partners to work for different programs, and
  • Contribute to create a new growth strategy with new capabilities.
  • Work closely with the company leadership and business development teams for different client groups to create monetizable data management, data governance business models
  • Identify market opportunity gaps where Indegene products and services can solve industry challenges. Articulate alternative opportunity pathways and business scenarios in these areas
  • Direct and oversee the development of robust, re-usable data management products and services in support of greater operational effectiveness and efficiency. Drive commonality and convergence across programmes, data sets, tools and processes
  • Bring deep expertise into client discussions in aspects like handling of digital and healthcare data, real world challenges of aggregating multiple sources, technical matters such as data integrity challenges etc. and concepts of data visualization and converting data to insights
  • Define and implement Data Governance Operating Model that defines the organization, roles and responsibilities, data and process flows, and traceability of data
  • Perform analysis to understand business problems and business data to provide guidance on appropriate Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DWH) solutions.
  • Act as Data/Information Architect and Database Administrator in support of the core internal business application development team.
  • Ensures quality of master data in key systems, as well as, development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity. Provides assistance in resolving data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data stewards
  • Ensuring that the internal and client teams have the necessary data and information for daily operations and strategic planning; Implementing a monitoring framework, which ensures on-going quality of data; Create and ensure relevant definitions of Metadata for business ready usage
  • Continuously hone key messages, vision/mission through data and analytics for the commercial business and look at optimizing business from a global standpoint
  • Collaborate with business development teams to facilitate growth, through various strategies such as inside sales, opening new dialogs in existing accounts, and other personal networking and participate in business pitches and proposal development
  • Managing relationships with stakeholders, addressing their understanding of data governance and requirements; Risk mitigation; Leading the design and development of analytical projects; Producing client insight reports; Managing and maximising the extraction and collation of market data;
  • Driving increased internal data sharing and usage; Building data models to provide new insights on market trends; Building innovative data visualizations to provide cutting edge output.
  • Build a reputation for excellence in the transmission, storage, and proportionate use of data, common data standards, API's, interoperability and ensure our services are aligned to strict legal, regulatory, ethical and privacy controls;

Desired Profile:

  • Ability to effectively interact and engage customer groups through multiple communication channels.
  • In depth understanding of Enterprise Information Management (EIM), Data governance, Stewardship, Measurements, Master data Management(MDM) and Metadata definitions
  • Having performed a role of similar size and scope, with responsibility for the iterative development and leadership of a large sector leading analytics service;
  • Having defined and delivered at least one enterprise wide data analytics strategy in an organization of a similar scale and complexity, with specific responsibility for its technical delivery
  • Having contributed to the definition, delivery and maximization of a range of relevant, robust data and analytics offerings, re-usable products and services, in support of a broad range of corporate objectives (including oversight of a production environment)
  • Having provided outstanding, developmental leadership to a multi-faceted team of subject matter experts, with evidence of having improved capability and self-sufficiency
  • Understanding of the life-science and marketing scenario of Global Markets, including key landscape factors such as health reforms, regulatory changes/pressures, HCP priorities etc.
  • Ability to measure overall governance effectiveness, quality of data and organizational data maturity
  • Defined data standards across the enterprise
  • Strong written and verbal communication with presentation skills
  • Strong strategic aptitude
  • Structured thinking and articulation
