Job Description
What we're looking for:You are Compute & Cloud Services Engineer will have subject matter expertise in Data Center, Server, Virtual & Cloud Computing, cloud architecture and automation.
This is a highly visible role. You must have excellent engagement and communication skills and must have a strong customer-focused, team-oriented, approach that balances security needs and user experience to provide best-in-class security to the organization. Focus on leading automation efforts for the Compute & Cloud Services team. You must Focus on cost reduction and optimization with our IT cloud environments. Responsible for managing complex enterprise infrastructure environment consisting of Windows and Linux servers along with public cloud environments such as Azure & AWS. Maintain overall standards and the implementation of the compute, storage and infrastructure servers. Focus on automation and agile processes for both on prem and cloud resources.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Managing and monitoring IT enterprise systems and infrastructure in our global Data Centers.
- Installing, configuring, and maintaining operating systems, and system management tools.
- Maintain overall standards and the implementation of the compute, storage and infrastructure servers.
- Partners with various business units and technology staff members to ensure IT platforms are built and operated to meet customer needs.
- Management of design services, sizing and configuration assistance, and performing needs assessments.
- Responsible for working in Data Center environments performing hardware installation.
- Create automation scripts for daily tasks and project activities.
- Responsible for public cloud administration and support focusing on Azure and AWS.
- Ensures that all phases of patching and support, including installations, security and OS patches.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or equivalent.
- 7 + Years in experience Infrastructure
- Experience with Windows Server Operating Systems installation and configurations is required.
- Experience with Linux Operating Systems installation and configurations is required.
- Hands on experience installing and configuring hardware equipment in Data Centers.
- Experience with automation utilizing either PowerShell, Python, Bash or Ruby.
- Knowledge of enterprise ticket management systems (i.e. Service Now)
- Knowledge of enterprise virtualized environments (i.e. Microsoft Hyper-V, Xen Server)
- Experience with Windows Clustering, File Services, DFS.
- Knowledge of Windows integrated security tools (Defender, Advanced Threat Protection)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience in administration of public cloud environments (i.e. Azure, AWS)
