Job Description Summary:
Maxim is seeking an energetic, results - driven, fresher for the role of Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our GNR Procurement team. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of planning, scheduling, inventory management, strong interpersonal communication & excellent analytical skills.Job Description:
- Work closely with factory planners, production teams, commodity managers and suppliers to understand and align on the requirements / priorities / constrains as well as provide/track/drive forecast accuracy (demand, supply, lead - time) for Chemicals/Gas/Metal Target/Si wafers / Consumables / Spares / Equipment / Service to support entire Fab Operations at CA, OR, and TX.
- Report weekly/monthly (daily if there is an excursion) purchasing dashboard on spending, purchased quantity vs. consumption, forecast accuracy, cost/price variation, DOI, on - time delivery, and materials/parts allocation among fabs if needed.
- Report and/or escalate any fab excursion and/or supplier related issue; Help to collect info/data and work with production teams, commodity managers, and suppliers to contain the excursion, secure the supply line, and support or drive root cause/corrective action and continuous improvement activities.
- Collect feedback from internal customers and provide the data/inputs for the supplier performance scorecard.
- Identify and drive purchasing process improvements and out - of - box thinking to improve the productivity.
- Solicit price quotations and negotiate price on misc. spending (small quantity and/or low price) not managed by commodity managers.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor s Degree in Supply Chain/Operations Management/Business Administration etc.

Knowledgeable about purchasing and Scheduling techniques; Planning & Inventory Management, and Risk Management

Flexible with night shift timings & work in rotational shifts as per the business need

Excellent verbal, written communication & analytical skills

Customer/results orientated and can - do attitude
Desired Skills (Not Mandatory)

Experience in purchasing, supply chain, inventory control & related fields is add - on

Knowledge of SAP MM module

Experience on supply chain and E - commerce/E - procurement software is an added advantage
