User Experience Design Expert @ SAP India

THE ROLE

Usually works on UI topics focusing on UI concept and UI design of complex product features in a development team or responsible for complex product areas. Resolves complex UI issues within own area of expertise and supports others in resolving complex UI issues.

1. Interaction Design

1.1. Invent user interface interaction models for products where the task flow is indeterminate such as developer tools where there can be many paths to success and the user task is iterative by nature and the outcome not known when the tool is designed.

1.2. Solve large interaction problems that require the creation of new design patterns that eventually become an SAP UI standard element.

1.3. Accurately and articulately specify UI designs for the purpose of product development.

2. UI Concepts & Guidelines

2.1. Creation and specification of new UI patterns and building blocks to fulfill missing requirements to become part of the UI guideline.

2.2. Works on legal requirements (e.g. accessibility) which need to be considered in UI Building block Spec.

3. Visual Design

3.1. Design of skins and themes for standard user interface elements within an existing design direction.

3.2. Detailed visual design expertise to support interaction models.

3.3. Negotiates with development and other stakeholders to achieve visual design goals.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

• 12 - 14 years of experience working as Product or UX designer - preferably in a SaaS or consumer app company
• B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA / M.S Graduate
• Mobile iOS and/or Android experience
• Experience in writing interaction and visual design specifications and narratives
• Comprehensive knowledge of design software such as Sketch, Invision and related tools
• Self - motivated fast learner with exceptional follow - through while operating with a sense of urgency
• Experience working in a large & geographically dispersed product - driven environment
• Previous work history in enterprise software companies
