Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Automation Framework Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test frameworks using Cypress.
- Ensure scalability, reusability, and maintainability of test scripts.
Test Automation:
- Develop and execute automated test cases for web applications.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Analyze test results and identify root causes for failures.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and quality.
Defect Management:
- Identify, document, and track software defects in a bug-tracking system (e.g., Jira).
- Work with developers to resolve issues and retest as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
- Drive best practices in test automation and contribute to process improvements.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and tools in test automation.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in QA Automation, with a focus on web application testing.
- Proficiency in Cypress and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing principles and frameworks.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI).
- Familiarity with REST APIs and experience testing them.
- Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) is a plus.
- Exposure to performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is desirable.
- Familiarity with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow) is a plus.
