Job Description

Summary The SAP Business Analyst specializing in SAP Finance, based in our Shared Service Center in Gurugram India, will provide hands-on direct application support for SAP Financial systems across the EMEA region, with a specific emphasis on accommodating the dynamic legal requirements in Italy and Spain. Collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and IT counterparts, the analyst will ensure the optimal utilization and continuous improvement of SAP solutions in alignment with evolving business needs. Responsibilities Hands-on SAP Application Support: Provide direct and hands-on application support in a timely manner for SAP Finance processes during the EMEA business hours. Adjust working hours as needed to ensure overlap with the US time zone for seamless collaboration with global teams. Configuration and Enhancement: Configure SAP Finance to align with business processes. Lead the design and implementation of enhancements, ensuring. alignment with leading practices and business needs. Business Partnering: Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into standard SAP solutions and functional specifications if it involves customization by the technical development team. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans as needed for SAP Finance configurations, enhancements, and planned maintenance. Ensure the quality and integrity of SAP systems through hands-on testing and data validation. Training and Documentation: Personally provide training to end-users on SAP Finance functionalities and best practices. Create and maintain hands-on documentation for SAP configurations, processes, and procedures. Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for hands-on process improvements and system optimization. Stay updated on SAP leading practices, recommending their hands-on adoption where applicable and feasible. Local Legal Compliance Support: Italy and Spain Focus: Personally address and adapt to frequently changing local legal requirements in Italy and Spain, ensuring hands-on alignment of SAP Financial systems with evolving regulatory landscapes. Collaboration with SAP Maintenance Partner: Personally collaborate with the SAP maintenance partner to implement relevant SAP notes and patches for changed legal requirements in Italy and Spain, taking an active role in hands-on testing and validation processes. Essential Functions of the Role**: Provide application support to ensure seamless SAP Finance processes during EMEA hours, adjusting for global collaboration with the US time zone. Configure SAP Finance aligning with business needs and industry leading practices. Diligently monitor active SAP incidents and change requests to ensure timely and effective closure. Partner closely with the business, translating their requirements into precise SAP roadmaps. Implement rigorous testing protocols to ensure seamless SAP Finance functionality. Provide hands-on training for SAP Finance users, maintaining meticulous documentation. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced SAP Finance efficiency and streamlined processes. Stay informed about legal developments in Italy and Spain, ensuring prompt adherence to SAP Finance compliance requirements. Work Experience Requirements A minimum of 5 to 8 years of proven hands-on experience as an SAP Business Analyst with a focus on the Finance modules A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Finance function Robust understanding of business processes within Finance demonstrating proficiency in navigating the complexities of these domains. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication skills, recognizing the linguistic diversity among business users who may not have English as their first language. Ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. Education Requirements Bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, or related field. MBA or advanced degree desirable. SAP certification in FI & CO modules is a plus. Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge Inter-Company Process Mastery: Advanced understanding and oversight of configuring SAP inter-company processes, encompassing tasks like transfer prices, intercompany asset transfer and reconciliation processes. Expertise in Localizing SAP Functionalities to align with country-specific legal requirements: Demonstrates proficiency in configuration and support of SAP functionalities to adhere to the distinct legal requirements of specific countries. Proficient Knowledge in EU Intrastat/Extrastat Reporting Requirements: In-depth understanding of the intrastat/extrastat reporting obligations within the European Union and expertise in implementing and supporting these requirements within the SAP system. Finance Master Data: Expertise in finance master data within SAP, coupled with adept resolution of application support issues arising from master data. Cross-Module Interaction Support: Hands-on experience supporting SAP Finance interaction with other SAP modules, particularly in supply chain management areas such as sales, manufacturing, purchasing, and warehouse management. Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Proficiency: Proficient in configuring and supporting essential Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes within the SAP Finance module. Business Intelligence Tool Utilization: Working knowledge of business intelligence tools, including SAP BI, SAP ABAP Query, SAP Report Writer, and Power BI. Application of these tools for ad hoc analysis of business process issues and ongoing business process monitoring and control. Desktop Applications expertise: Strong expertise in desktop applications essential to the position, including Visio for process flow diagrams, Excel, and/or Access for large-scale data analysis. Requirements gathering techniques: Strong knowledge of business requirements gathering techniques, such as use cases, prototyping, questionnaires, etc., used in the business analysis discipline. Application of appropriate requirements gathering approaches based on the situation and audience. Financial Acumen: Possesses financial acumen necessary to perform basic cost-benefit analysis related to low-complexity process enhancements. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills for identifying business needs, formulating viable alternative solutions, and presenting the business/technical impact of solutions. Effective Verbal Communication: Strong verbal communication skills, adept at understanding complex business processes and technical content. Engages with EMEA users using plain business language, avoiding technical jargon, and employs strategies like paraphrasing to ensure mutual understanding. Clear Written Communication: Strong written communication skills, including the ability to document complex business processes and technical content using common business terminology. Utilizes visual aids like process flows or decision tables to supplement verbal explanations. Local Specifications (English And Local Language) Possesses fluent English skills while being mindful and considerate of those for whom English is not the first language.
