Role & responsibilities
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled API / Back End Developer with expertise in Python to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust APIs and back-end services that support our applications. Your work will be critical in ensuring seamless integration and functionality across our platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable APIs using Python frameworks such as Flask or Django.
- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Back End Developer or similar role.
- Experience with automating cloud APIs.
- Cloud Architecture certifications preferred
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with frameworks like Flask, Django, or FastAPI.
- Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Knowledge of cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of API documentation tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman).
