UI / Tools Developer - SAP Platform Development for the SAP ASE Database

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP is building its database strategy on HANA and ASE. Supporting the Business Suite since 2011 and thus extending its database portfolio with ASE, SAP has become a leading database vendor expecting to grow this business faster than competitive platform vendors. The ASE database platform team is working to optimize the technology infrastructure SAP NetWeaver and SAP s business applications based on it for the use with SAP ASE (f.k.a. Sybase ASE). We plan to intensively invest in scenarios for Cloud Operations, Continuous Availability, Data Warehouse, and database monitoring. We are looking for your engagement in one of SAP s most strategic projects.

The team is fully responsible for all aspects related to the interfaces between SAP solutions and the SAP ASE database. The intensive collaboration with the ASE database development teams in Germany, China and India provides a technically demanding and diversified work environment with many international contacts.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

You will work in a group of dedicated SAP and ASE experts who enhance and optimize SAP s technology with a lot of fun and enthusiasm. In this environment, we look for creative solutions that exploit the capabilities of the ASE database as good as possible. Dedicated tasks will be:

• Develop superior tools for the SAP ASE database
• Improve the end- 2- end SAP ASE database usability and Cloud readiness
• Roll- out and support the SAP ASE tools for global customers
• Discuss new feature requests for SAP ASE with customers and drive the implementation
• Develop and roll- out Best- Practice guides

In this position, you will strengthen the team s development tasks, work on in- memory technology, high availability scenarios, and cloud automation.

Your work will give you deep insight into SAP s leading database technology. Furthermore, you will gain highly appreciated experience in dealing with different teams within SAP and customers worldwide.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Bachelors or Masters degree from reputed universities in Computer Science, Masters degree preferred
• SQL and relational database skills are beneficial
• Experience in JavaScript and SAP UI5 / SAP Fiori
• Experience with ODATA and UI technology
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Personal commitment and the ability to work independently and goal- oriented
• Fluency in English
