IT Application Developer - Convergent @ SAP India

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The IT Go- To- Market Services (IT GTMS) Invoice Management team is responsible for the implementation and operation of SAP s own commercial billing platform. We contribute to making SAP an Intelligent Enterprise by focusing on business process simplification, delivering global services, meeting high quality standards as well as achieving value through digital innovation adoption to the best of both customers and employees.

We are searching for an IT professional with strength in Enterprise Invoice Management solutions that would like to propel SAP s own order to cash processes to the next level.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Within IT GTMS, you will be expected to enable best in class IT solutions for our meter to invoice business processes. As an IT Application Developer, you will have the opportunity to be part of a team that will:

• Own IT Solutions and Services full cycle (development as well as operations) assisted by appropriate resources.
• Establish a trusted partnership with our business and technical counterparts and act as ONE TEAM from strategy to execution
• Design and deliver first class and simple IT solutions and ensure successful delivery by providing sustainable standard IT solutions and system architecture
• Drive continuous improvement of IT Solution and Service quality with focus on stability, usability, maintainability and ultimately customer satisfaction.
• Modernize engineering practices with the help of continuous testing, continuous integration and continuous monitoring methods and tools.
• Automate when and where possible with the help of data science methods and technology.
• Develop skill and competency on latest business models, solutions and technologies relevant to your area of responsibility.
• Drive innovation and early adoption of new technologies and solutions in close cooperation with Product Development as well as other teams within IT

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Required skills

• Academic degree in Computer Science or Product Engineering
• Proficiency and deep understanding of consumption- based billing processes and activities . Experience with invoicing, tax and the corresponding settlement business models preferred.
• Experience in architecting and developing Enterprise applications in SAP BRIM.
• Experience in SAP BRIM Convergent Invoicing a must.
• Strong analytical and logical skills
• Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Very good English language skills
• Ability to work in an international, virtual team and act as team player

Preferred skills

• Exposure to C/4HANA or S/4HANA Finance applications is an advantage
• Exposure and working within an agile, test driven development or continuous delivery environments is an advantage.
• Proficiency in German is an advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE

A successful candidate has at least 2 to 4 years professional work experience and at least 1 projects as well as being in a leading role contribution of 1 year or more in the adoption of Invoice Management.
