Job Description


What you will be doing:
  • Create/update product documentation and technical documentation including administrator guide, user s guide, wizard-based guides, integration guide, FAQs, troubleshooting guide, deployment guide, and installation guide, with a high degree of quality in accordance with industry standards and company guidelines.
  • Research, develop and write best-in-class documentation for a software/service user audience in a customer-facing way (easy to understand and follow, in a non-technical way when needed).
  • Understand technical products and calculate effort estimates for the tasks assigned.
  • Respond to documented feedback messages in a timely manner, implement changes to product documentation based on this feedback, and report top issues to manager.
  • Responsible for planning, organizing and creating user/technical guides, reference material and release notes for target audience end-users, engineering, etc.
  • Provide subject matter expertise and serve as a review resource for content such as product help articles and training materials.
  • Apply critical thinking outside direct areas of ownership and provide input to improve the product, content and authoring/publishing tools.
  • Maintain content of online help portal by building and testing content for multiple product components and releases.
  • Contribute additions and updates to internal tool and process documentation.
  • Create high-quality documentation about ZINFI products, how-to articles, wiki s and other publications for end-users, software engineers and administrators.
  • Create compelling storyboards for the internal animation team to create video-based help documents.
  • Add flare and spice to product and services documentation.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Flexibility in accommodating project demands
  • Desire to work with a team spread across different geographies.
  • Provide daily and weekly activity reports.
About your experience:
  • 3 or more years of experience writing customer-facing product and technical documentation, preferably with expertise on documenting CRMs like Salesforce, MS Dynamics, Eloqua, SAP, etc.
  • Preferable experience or knowledge in DITA/XML, HTML
  • Excellent written communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and track progress on complex deliverables and work well with the larger organization.
  • Capable of working individually or as a team member.
  • Ability to learn and work with a variety of authoring and publishing tools such as Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proven ability to understand and synthesize product and technical information.
  • Proven track record of delivering quality documentation under tight deadlines with changing product requirements.
  • Communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Graphics and design skills or curriculum development a plus, but not required.
Required Skills:
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Good verbal and communication skills in English
  • Time and Project management skills
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Highly organized and strongly self-motivated with the ability to multi-task activities
  • Quick learner with a positive attitude and strong problem resolution and creative thinking skills
  • Proven experience of writing technical content and as subject matter expert
  • Ability to deliver high quality documentation and paying attention to detail.
  • Quickly grasp complex product concepts and make them easy to understand.
  • Guest blogging experience is a plus.
  • Have experience in using various online content writing and monitoring tools.
  • Candidates will be required to show case some original write-ups.
Education:
  • Master s/Bachelor s degree in any discipline, preferably I.T./Computer Science/Software Engineering or a related area is preferred.
