Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities:
Design, develop and execute test cases which include both functionality and regression testing scenarios
- Identify the test scenarios based on the understanding of systems, interfaces and application.
- Identify end-to-end business critical scenarios.
- Create automation test scripts.
- Prepare Test summary Report and share the same for review/ Review the test results/test reports submitted by the test analyst.
- Conduct dry run/smoke testing to ensure scripts readiness.
- Implement reusable automated test frameworks to drive test automation goals and to support continuous integration and regression testing. Utilize and extend existing test automation test harnesses.
- Solve complex test automation problems and promote reuse of automated test code.
- Collaborate with the various team(s) to design and implement the next generation test framework and test suites for an ecommerce Website
- Monitor appropriate server monitoring counters (eg CPU utilization, memory utilization etc).
- Assist in maintaining test environments
- Contribute towards improvement of test standards and methodology across all test areas to ensure stability of the applications and eliminate possible/ repeated issues.
- Taking active part in weekly Scrum and attend daily standup meetings offline and online
- Review product user interface for conformity to design guidelines
- Optimize regression-testing suites for multiple applications using the most appropriate Manual and Automation Test strategies.
- Follow black box, White box and grey box testing methodologies
- Interpret and report testing results, and be a vocal proponent for quality in every phase of the development process
- Work with Software Development Engineers to understand the overall technical architecture and how each feature is implemented.
- Good understanding of QA tool development chains and environments
- Understand system components, how they interact with one another, and perform different types of testing, including functional, system, regression and acceptance testing.
- Execute test plans provided by QA with attention to details using both manual and basic automated testing.
- Assist QA all status reports, test plans, test cases and other documentation related to QA.
- Strict to quality standards/process and time schedules provided.
- Execute the test cases in all the environments i.e. - devices, browsers.
8 years of experience testing applications and writing test cases.
- Experience writing/debugging functional and reliability test suites for Web, Mobile and backend Web Series
- Experience with scripting, tool development and automation.
- Knowledge of general QA procedures, tools and methodologies, as well as software development fundamentals
- Candidate should have great understanding of Software test life cycle.
- Should be comfortable working with Agile teams
- Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Keen interest with automated testing tools like Selenium, Watir, QTP and in writing automation Scripts
- Exposure to any Performance tool will be an added advantage
- Good to have knowledge in web Technologies, specifically Magento & PHP, Web-Services testing, html and css.
- Solid understanding of the Agile/Scrum software development, QA and release processes
- Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing
- Possess good organizational skills and a demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks, follow and achieve timelines.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, constantly changing atmosphere
- Self-starter with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and superior problem-solving skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong technical and analytic skills
- Ecommerce experience is a must
- Well versed with latest technologies in the market.
