Identify and suggest business process improvements from finance perspective as part of continuous productivity and efficiency improvement objective
Managing independently the financial processes, such as Incentive & commission payouts, Policy Holder reconciliations, identify performance improvement opportunities including cost management.
Revenue accrual and accounting. Collections management
Monitor accounts receivable and cash flow in order to ensure smooth functioning of financial operations
Manage all sales incentive payments in line with policies
Ensure smooth & timely processing of commission
Manage banking relationships and ensure smooth cash management outcomes
Manage relationships with various collection agencies and deliver continuous productivity improvements
Ensure TATs around collections reconciliation are consistently met
Minimal outstanding issues relating to collection reconciliation with bank
Adherence to agreed TATs
Minimum audit observations, deviation from targets
Savings in costs and improved productivity of the team
Accuracy and completion of revenue accounting
Internal: Intermediaries, Employees, Operations and Sales. Feedback from stakeholders, turnaround time, quality and control over reconciliation, customer feedback
Experience of managing operating aspects of finance function in a related high business transaction volume environment
Financial and strong commercial acumen
Analytical and problem solving ability
Understanding of laws and statutory regulations pertaining to financial management, accounting, audit, compliance and taxation. Knowledge of relevant laws pertaining to Insurance industry is desirable
Good communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
Understanding of current technology and applications to enhance finance operations
