EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Be part of the engineering team located in Bangalore and work in a highly motivated Scrum team of Payroll Software Development:

• Work as a Java developer in an agile development team according to the Scrum methodology.
• Responsible for development focusing on coding, testing, quality assurance of software features in a development team.
• Demonstrate full responsibility for accepted tasks and therefore demonstrate a high level of quality, speed, reliability and efficiency.
• Work closely together with other team members to ensure the team success. Enhance skills beyond own core functional focus and work on other tasks for the benefit of the team.
• Have proficient overall product knowledge and share domain expertise within team.

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Education

BE / BTech / MCA / MS / MTech in Computer Science, Information Science, Information Technology.

Required Skills & Competencies

• Excellent knowledge of Java development with experience in Java/J2EE, Hibernate, Spring, Spring Boot and SQL.
• Server oriented - Knowledge in Java backend development (Tomcat, JEE, dependency injection, and more).
• Sound knowledge in Object Oriented Programming Principles.
• Knowledge of lean development infrastructure process including Git, Jenkins etc. and exposure to Continuous Delivery practices.
• Working knowledge of Scrum processes, Test Driven Development and passion about unit testing, integration testing and test automation .
• High self- motivation, result- driven, ability and willingness to quickly take responsibility and to execute.
• Must have proven ability to work in a team.
• Must be familiar with agile software engineering principles.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred skills

• Knowledge of Microservices based software development on Cloud Foundry.
• Knowledge of Javascript and web UI frameworks like UI5, React, Angular and other equivalent frameworks is an advantage.
• Experience of application development in the HCM and Payroll area is an advantage.

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 2 Years of experience in software development in agile setup.
• Knowledge or experience with cloud software development is a plus.
• Knowledge of Micro services Architecture, API- driven development on Cloud Foundry is a plus.
