Project Manager - HEC Delivery @ SAP India

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

The mission of the HEC Delivery organization within the Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) Unit is to build and operate the HANA Enterprise Cloud Portfolio. This is an enabling function to help customers to gain advantage out of HANA without the necessity to invest in infrastructure and operations know - how. The power of HANA shall be easy and cloudlike to be consumed to accelerate and enable HANA adoption in the market. Besides day to day operations we are driving/part of strategic pilot projects for new technologies as Reference for SAP customers.

HEC Delivery - Productization is a sub - unit that enables and supports the HEC Delivery operational units with providing tool and procedure standardization and automation for their highly dynamic working environment.

HEC Delivery - Productization has the following responsibilities

Standardization, optimization and stabilization of system lifecycle management processes
o Requirements Engineering (Roll - in / Roll - out)
o Organizing and running test activities
o Roll - in / Roll - out of Procedure Changes to HEC Delivery Operations teams
Setup, administration and governance of the Verification Lab (VLAB)

To strengthen our VLAB team we are searching for a motivated colleague working in a highly professional team of experts and architects across different HEC Delivery units.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Represent as central go - to - person in SAP Labs Bangalore the HEC VLAB & Validation team
Analyze, challenge and align on new VLAB system landscape requests
Manage the VLAB towards a cost - efficient self - organized and transparent lab environment
Continuously improve and enhance the HEC VLAB governance model & Service Catalogue
Manage relationship between different stakeholder groups inside and outside HEC Delivery
Drive issue resolution together with the team and utilizing the expert network
Identify areas of improvement and initiate the change/automation request
Take measures to establish and keep central HEC VLAB tools & repositories clean
Guide VLAB CTCs (Cloud Technical Consultants) responsible for setting up the system landscapes
Take ownership of assigned activities

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Good infrastructure know - how (virtualization, storage technologies, ideally hyperscalers)
Solid background in SAP technologies (Databases, SAP Basis, ABAP, JAVA)
Basic understanding and usage of reporting tools like SAP Analytics Cloud
Quick learner, self - starter and motivated to dig into new technologies and topics
Fluent in spoken and written English

WORK EXPERIENCE

Professional experience in IT infrastructure, system administration or as a technical consultant in SAP cloud implementation projects
Ideally familiar with either HEC infrastructure and/or HEC processes and tools like jira
Experience in working in international teams and managing long - running complex projects
Problem solving expertise with technical focus

TOTAL EXPERIENCE - 8 - 11 years

LOCATION - Bangalore
