For the post of a Factory Manager, we are looking for a candidate with the following skillsets:

  1. Extremely good working knowledge of Provident Fund, Employee State Insurance and Profession Tax.
  2. Good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
  3. Good working knowledge of Tally.
  4. Basics of accounting and maintaining cash register.
  5. Basic, generic working knowledge the Minimum Wages Act and the Factories Act.
  6. Relevant work experience (preferably in HR) of atleast6 years.
  7. Candidate* must be a graduate, married and have his own means of transportation.

The Factory Manager will be assisted by an Office Assistant and five Factory Supervisors in his work and will be expected to accomplish the following:

  1. Ensure that the assistant has computed monthly wages of the factory workers under time rate and piece rate systems correctly and submit the wage list to the bank for disbursement of wages.
  2. Ensure monthly filing of PF, ESI and PT returns.
  3. Update rough cash register of daily expenses related to the factory and submit the same to the accounts on a fortnightly basis.
  4. Ensure that all Forms / Registers required under the Factories Act and Minimum Wages Act are maintained on a regular basis.
  5. Ensure renewal of the Factories licenses on an annual basis.
  6. Liaisewith any govt. department (pollution control, factories, labour, provident fund, esi) with regard to the workings of the factory.
  7. Ensure smooth and proper functioning of the factories of the company. For the same, the manager will be ably assisted by five factory supervisors.
  8. Ensure decorum is maintained at work place.
  9. Prepare half-yearly and annual returns under the Factories Act.
  10. Provide information to the NSSO on an annual basis as is required.
  11. Undertake any generic work related to the factory and maintenance of its facilities.
  12. Ensure that workers enrolled under the PF and ESI scheme enjoy its benefits. If required, the manager may have to guide workers to claim benefits required under the scheme.
  13. Ensure correct computation of annual bonus and leave pay of employees.
  14. Handle joining and termination formalities of employees at the factory.
  15. Learn the rudiments of the manufacturing process inorder to manage the units well.
