Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:
Perform and deliver the activities under the Financial Control Function for the region / countries assigned in FSSC Global FCU
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
To draw up the Trial Balance movements on a daily / monthly basis and highlight the significant movements based on the thresholds set for Balance Sheet / PL Line Items and Off Balance Sheet Line items
Performing data integrity and such other health checks on a periodic basis and escalate any key issues identified.
To identify long aged open items in key Risk Accounts (like Suspense Accounts, Bank Recon etc).
Preparation and Maintenance of GL Approval Grids for manual entries and highlight any exceptions by periodic review.
To Support collation of data in order to perform the set KRIs and KCSAs and provide the same for review
To coordinate and provide support in the control function for approvals of various GL System related forms pertaining to opening / closing and amendments of chart fields and cost centers
Review and Health Check of certain specific User Access rights forming part of the Finance Function
Support periodic reconciliation substantiation exercise across the bank for all Balance Sheet and Off Balance Sheet Lines working with various teams and highlight gaps, if any.
Ensuring that a continuous process and efficiency improvement culture is embedded within the function and an established process exists to constantly identify improvement opportunities.
Perform the day-to-day controls periodic monitoring activities, timely identification and reporting of significant risks losses
Monitoring to ensure that the standards of customer service provided by the function are consistently met or exceed the requirements set under the Service Level Agreements agreed with the customers.
KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
All the CFOs and in country finance teams
PSC for future migrations to FSSC
Project teams FLT working on global projects / LTW initiatives for finance.
Scope HR, Finance, HRSSC, Compliance, Quality, Program Management Office, Corporate Affairs, Technology ISCI
KEY MEASURES:
Basic knowledge of accounting terminology and concepts and ability to apply the rules of accounting and double entry book keeping in evaluating the Trial Balance.
Exhibits abilities to work with the junior staff in the team and supports the higher-ups in terms of daily analysis of movements in Trial Balance, clearing off the key outstanding items in high risk accounts like Suspense, BRS etc
Demonstrates reasonable understanding of Financial control Function / Policy to be able to highlight issues involving Financial / Operational Risk.
Highlights probable process improvement areas and any activities which may have a scope for enhanced review procedures.
Ensures that day to day task is completed as per SLA
Should be good at excel (spreadsheet)
