Job Description
Content Editor at Chegg should be a highly motivated, creative, and a patient individual with the right blend of subject knowledge and English language skills. The task essentially is to hone the presentation and language skills of in-house subject experts, who develop student-friendly content. The editor would be required to conduct training sessions for SMEs to enhance their writing skill. The training imparted can also be on all the other language learning skills like Listening, Speaking, Reading apart from Writing.
Content Editor should have a hawk s-eye in identifying errors and meticulous attention to detail in matters of editing, presentation or style of the content. In addition, Content Editor evaluates content from a holistic perspective, and makes necessary edits to maintain the overall quality of the assignments for our international student base. Content Editor provides timely and constructive feedback to the experts.
Content Editor should be creative in designing posters, flyers, banners, etc. for company s promotion develop interesting articles on the company events for Social Media sites.
As a team player Content Editor should merge ideas with Co-Editors/Trainers and have an attitude for knowledge sharing and gaining.
Requirements:
- A post graduate in any stream with high proficiency in English Language with lateral thinking skills and creativity
- 2 to 5 years in a similar platform - prior experience in Academic Hubs would be an added advantage.
- Quick learner, passionate and committed to work
- Should have excellent command over English language (exceptional English grammatical skill needed)
- Hands on experience in publishing sector, with proven ability in copy editing and proof reading
- Knowledge on style guides and editorial guidelines
- Must be confident and skillful to conduct training sessions on various English grammatical concepts for SMEs
- Knowledge of WordPress, and Image Designing Tools like Canva, Photoshop etc.
- Basic skills related to MS tools (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
