Responsibilities

  • We are looking for a senior and experienced engineering leader to build, manage and provide leadership to our fast-growing world class engineering organization for AEP in India. The team grew from 70 to 250 in couple of years, and we plan to continue to invest in India and tap into the local talent. The ability to attract, manage, retain, and grow engineering and product management talent that is in par with any global teams is critical for this role.
  • As the site leader, you will be responsible for collaborating and influencing AEP Leadership Team, Customers and Partners to shape and evolve the mission, strategy, and charter of AEP Platform team in India, build a strong leadership team, hire world class engineering and product managers, and plans and delivers platform innovations that meet our customer and business requirements.
  • We are looking for a manager with a deep understanding of cloud services background. The manager will set a clear long-term vision for cloud management of Edge devices, create achievable short and midterm goals, prioritize the features so we can ensure consistent long-term goal and keep driving incremental impact.
  • The manager will be mentoring the engineering team, growing the team, and building an inclusive, dynamic, and high performing engineering team. The manager will ensure good engineering practices applied in the product and ensure high availability and scalability of the product for Azure scale

Qualifications

  • Experience attracting and retaining top systems engineering talent, managing large (250+) cross discipline organizations that have delivered high quality products starting from various stages of product life cycle.
  • Collaborative attitude with ability to influence across boundaries and work toward customer and business goals, in a highly matrixed organization
  • Great communication skills and interpersonal connection with a passion for and track record growing senior leaders and creating a diverse and inclusive environment
  • Personal drive and impact, with capability to deliver success, tenaciously pursue the right outcomes, and make things happen
  • Executional excellence, being agile in an ever-changing environment, defining a course of actions, aligning cross-geo teams quickly, managing engineering dependencies and world-class delivery
  • Passion for improving the Engineering Systems and Quality of the product
