Data Engineer (MongoDB)

Experience: 3+ Yrs

Location: Delhi (Okhla, Ph - 3)

What you will do

• Own all technical aspects of database (MongoDB, MySQL, etc.) implementation, maintenance, optimisation, and administration
• Perform ongoing upgrades, query fine tuning, and indexes refactoring
• Perform ongoing security, disaster recovery, high availability, and scalability drills
• Perform ongoing monitoring of the infrastructure
• Work closely with the application team to understand forthcoming changes, do an impact analysis, and fine-tune queries as necessary
• Implement database deployment automation
• Identify opportunities to adopt innovative and upcoming technologies
• Develop deep understanding of tie-ins with other Harappa systems and platforms

What you will need

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a related subject
• 3+ years of of hands-on MongoDB implementation, maintenance, optimisation, and administration
• Expertise in rich query language for CRUD operations, data aggregation, text search, and geospatial queries
• Expert in monitoring, benchmarking, and performance tuning
• Strong scripting experience - Shell, Python, Spark
• Proficient in MongoDB DBaaS
• Good understanding of AWS database, ETL suite, data pipeline, batch and streaming processing, and analytics products
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures
