Oracle Applications Database Administrator @ r Freelancing

Job Description

Experience in Oracle Applications R12/ 11i architecture, database and system administration, including hands- on ability
- Experience in Linux and AIX platform
- Experience in onsite - offshore support model
- Extensive experience in complex environment management to support multiple concurrent Oracle Applications implementations and custom application implementations
- Strong 'best practices' experience and philosophy in Standard Operating Procedures (SPO) including but not limited to security, patch management, testing support and being able to lead by example, mentor other DBA and Sys- Admins to follow and enforce
- Exposure to RAC/ ASM and Data guard configuration would be an advantage
- Experience with Shell scripting and plsql programing is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Installation and maintenance of Oracle EBS R12/ EBS, relational database and supporting software
- Designing and assisting with capacity planning, sizing, and space management
- Writing programs in an appropriate administrative language for the purpose of data loading, unloading, and other manipulation
- Writing database programs in an appropriate administrative language for the purpose of automating processes and supporting applications
- Designing, developing, documenting, and validating database backup and recovery plans in accordance with the business requirements
- Providing user- level system services such as setting up accounts, assigning passwords, and setting privileges
- Maintaining database system and account security through the use of established procedures, promptly report any breaches
- Creating end- user database system operation documentation and training materials
- Monitoring database system and application performance including its integration with operating system usage.,
