Manual QA Software Web Applications Tester | 3+ Years Exp| 3-7 LPA
Preferred - Some knowledge/experience of Enterprise Applications involving Java
- Worked as Manual QA Web Appl. Software Tester with MetricStream Software Experience
Notice Period - Within 2 Weeks | Pay - Rs. 3,00,000 to 7,00,000 depending on Experience
Work Location - AMR Tech Park, Hongasandra (off Hosur Road) Bengaluru, India | Initial Few months remotely. As COVID-19 pandemic subsides, Work at Office
Mandatory Skills
- Strong Manual testing experience on Web- based applications
- Exposure to Setup & Deploy Test/UAT/PROD Environments on Client Server technologies [Windows, Linux, Solaris, Web Sphere, JBOSS, Apache/Tomcat] with Oracle 10g & Above
- Good exposure to J2EE, SQL, PL/SQL and databases desired. [Oracle 10g & above]
- Ability to troubleshoot software / hardware configuration problems
- Ability to develop a clear and concise testing strategy
- Expert knowledge of web application design and testing
- Must have strong client interaction experience
- Knowledge of Test Management tool is desirable, preferably TestLink
- Knowledge of Test Methodologies
- Prior experience in Security Testing, Exploratory testing, ETL, Functional testing
- Prior experience on Automation Frameworks & Testing.
Role Description
The Senior Tester serves as an expert testing specialist that focuses on the development and implantation of test plans for GRC Solutions as well as other software applications that are developed and/or maintained by the organization. This position is specifically oriented to maintain an independent and objective stance to ensure quality in software prior to production release.
Role Responsibilities
- End to End Testing of MetricStream Products/solutions from Project Kick off to Go Live & ensure quality deliverables.
- Participate in Test Effort Estimation, Functional & Performance testing strategy with Leads/Managers
- Ensure that the software meets the specified Functional Specification, Technical Design or Detailed Design Document.
- Create and maintain Test Cases, Test Metrics, Defect Metrics and manage reviews in Test Link and Bugzilla.
- Review of the Detailed Test Cases, Unit Test cases and Periodic review of the schedule variance, effort variance for testing phases.
- Assist Lead or Identify End-End Scenarios for Functional, Automation and performance testing
- Use Bugzilla to submit new software defects and analyze and summarize the existing defects. Ensure Best Practices of Defect logging is adhered
- Ensure Defect integrity, Quality and technical correctness of defects
- Ability to work on multiple projects & maintain Test schedules
- Interact with cross department teams Delivery Managers, Product, Business Analysts & infrastructure teams
- Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process.
- Setup Test & Customer environments as per Customer Architecture checklist
- Participate and Setup UAT/PRODUCTION environments of Clients .
- Mentor Team members to develop test cases and adhere to the standard procedures and processes
- Participate in Team meetings, CRPs, Bug Triage and Brainstorming sessions as required.
- Ensure Acceptance & Exit Criteria for each Testing Cycle is adhered based on QA organization process
- Follow & Manage Release management process as per defined process
- Daily Status reports of projects tasks to Leads/Managers & other Stake holders
- Research and stay abreast of new technologies with the goal of understanding platform and browser issues and best practices QA methodologies.
Education
- 4 year Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Eng or related
- Manual Testing Certification (preferred but no required)
