Job Description
Responsibilities: Experience with Azure and other Microsoft technologies Experience with ERP solutions is a plus; preferably Plex or other manufacturing focused solutions Knowledge of ASP (VBScript), ASP.NET (C#) or MVC Knowledge of cloud-based automation Experience with Jira/Confluence and
- Both manual and automated testing
- Comfortably run and read automated test scripts, own prioritization of use cases to be scripted, contribute to code reviews, write medium-high complexity test scripts independently and identify opportunities to automate functional tests
- Collaborate with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Software Quality Engineers in test plan creation & execution to ensure proper test coverage and rigor
- Serve as a test lead or point person for providing testing estimates and communicating test plan, report metrics and conduct reviews/audits to ensure that all project work and deliverables consistently meet Product Quality standards
- Support and mentor other Software Test Engineers
- Become a SME in the product domain
- Map business and technical requirements into test cases and/or test scripts
- Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of quality assurance best practices
- Data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
- Reporting team/project metrics
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- 8+ years direct experience supporting or testing major application product release
- Strong knowledge of quality best practices and methodologies for software testing
- Experience with JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, or other open source/commercial market-leading solutions for functional, regression, or performance test automation
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment with both on-shore and off-shore resources
- Data analysis, data verification, and problem-solving abilities
- Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical aptitude, time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Expertise working with one or both of C#/.NET ecosystem or Java/JVM ecosystem
- Experience with relational databases and SQL
- Strong analytical skills and ability to multi-task day-to-day activities
- Understanding of relational database concepts and SQL language
