Preferred Qualifications
Position Description :

  • As a part of continuous delivery model, PeopleSoft %26amp; Cloud application product development work in Agile methodology and this position would drive a series of DevOps initiatives around continuous integration and continuous testing. DevOps function within PeopleSoft and Cloud Applications is establishing the central themes to enable continuous delivery and the person taking up this position should interact with cross functional teams to design and develop new automation systems and manage existing systems. This person will have 100% ownership of these systems in terms of running the day to day operations.


Mandatory Skill Sets:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor%26rsquo;s Degree in Engineering, MCA or equivalent.

  • Overall 8+ years of experience in Development / Build and Release Engineering / DevOps.

  • Good understanding of PeopleSoft architecture.

  • Scripting ability with one or more languages Shell/Perl/Python/Java/Batch development experience.

  • Should be able to visualise and be able to design systems, preempt possible outcomes, risks and be able to suggest alternate solutions.

  • Excellent Oracle DB administration concepts

  • Experience working in an Agile methodology.

  • Inclination to work as a developer on PeopleSoft DevOps developing new automation and managing existing applications and systems.

  • Strong knowledge of PeopleTools %26amp; PeopleCode, App Engines, SQR, Component Interface (CI), Integration Broker (IB), HTML, JavaScript, Structured Query Language (SQL), UNIX/Linux operating system.

  • Understanding of PeopleSoft Upgrade is an added advantage.

  • Ability to work independently with minimum guidance.

  • Excellent decision making, communication and presentation skills to enable

  • Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently


Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Develop, analyze and maintain tools that support and automate processes for hardware or software product release.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will perform high-level design based on provided external specifications. Specify, design and implement minor changes to existing software architecture. Build highly complex enhancements and resolve complex bugs. Build and execute unit tests and unit plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering as necessary to discuss minor changes to product functionality and to ensure quality and consistency across specific products.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Typically four years of software engineering or related experience needed.
