Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Vice President Supply Chain Finance

In this role, you will be responsible for leading large projects managing recovery audits for our customers. Responsibilities
  • Flawless execution on Operational deliverables through a robust operational and controls/compliance framework
  • Actively engage with customers to understand and address customer pain points
  • Provide direction and coaching to the operations team for the delivery of goals, promote a learning culture and build a strong team
  • Align to customer goals and deliver on commitments consistently
  • Drive lean/six sigma, best practices framework, case studies, benchmarking for making processes more efficient and effective
  • Ability to foresee risks, be proactive and predictive while developing mitigation plans
  • Ability to build impactful customer relationship; enhance Net Promoter Score
  • Build a strategy with the customer, ops team, and relationship managers to drive savings, productivity, transformation initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency in service delivery across multiple delivery centers of Genpact
  • Build a platform for ideas sharing & governance
  • Create governance between Genpact Category Management team and Operations team
  • Grow the account and participate in solution building for new deals
  • Setting direction for a team of Sourcing Execution Analyst(s) and/or other cross-functional team members, providing strong leadership and people management as needed
  • Innovate, explores, and understand how to get the best ideas and innovation out of suppliers and how to align to Genpact s Lean Digital agenda
  • Lead the developed sourcing strategy as agreed with the Category Lead in conjunction with overall program/project objectives
  • Support broader transformation of the Category through supplier consolidation, PSLs, regional/global contracts, introducing consistent buying channels, etc. on behalf of Genpact and/or the Client as needed
  • Support the team to develop appropriate client-based strategies for their sourcing activities,
  • Leads and drives complex sourcing projects on behalf of Clients
  • Initiate and manage the development of creative and innovative sourcing solutions; advise on global policy and procedures covering the selection of suppliers, tendering, and procurement
  • Optimize use of suppliers worldwide by projects and platforms, ensuring cost savings are generated and service and financial targets are met
  • Monitoring team performance against client SLA s and objectives, providing guidance where necessary to close any gaps, and agreeing on mediation plans to resolve delivery issues
  • Ability to adapt processes to best meet the needs of Clients and mitigate potential sourcing risks
  • Develops a joint strategic agenda with suppliers to ensure ongoing performance is monitored and improved, risks are managed & costs are reduced
  • Successfully negotiates high value/complex contracts with suppliers on behalf of Clients
  • Procurement process knowledge; understands and executes the Clients Procurement processes, including government policy and procedures
  • Has in-depth knowledge of all policies & legislation that impacts contract formulation; advises the Clients appropriately and seeks input regularly from relevant areas (Legal, Audit, Finance, etc.) seek guidance where needed
  • Support Client Supplier Relationship Managers to ensure appropriate supplier management methods are applied to the different groups of suppliers (preferred, multi-category, tail-end, etc.)
Qualifications we seek in youMinimum qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent professional qualification
  • Procurement experience and demonstrating a proven track record of delivering successful sourcing teams/solutions
  • Procurement Processes (sourcing and operational) in a business-to-business context
  • Category Domain knowledge of the following would be an advantage; Professional Services, HR Services, Travel, Office Supplies, MRO, Facilities Management & CapEX Equipment, Supply Chain & Logistics, Freight, Mail Services, IT (including Network Infrastructure, Hardware, Software, Consultancy Services & Temporary Labour), Marketing, Pharmaceuticals (including Lab Technology and supplies)
  • Business and Industry knowledge of either; Investment Banking, HealthCare, and Life Sciences, Retail (FMCG), Technology Industries, Service Provider environments
  • Ability to interact with CXO and their Direct Report(s) level members in client organizations; ability to network with key stakeholders effectively and build lasting relationships
  • Understanding of the IT, BPM (Business Process Management) outsourced services, and IT-enabled industries
  • Ability to work in a cross-cultural environment, collaboratively
  • Influencing skills, creative thinking/innovative mindset, strategic thinking
  • Communicates clearly and with an inclusive style
  • Ability to manage change effectively; uses straightforward and structured arguments to gain buy-in from others
  • Commercially Savvy; maintain a portfolio of contracts fully compliant with commercial governance
  • Must be willing to travel as needed
  • Involvement in Six Sigma initiatives and projects
  • Transitions experience / Project Management
  • Certified Supply Chain or Procurement Professional certification

Preferred qualifications
  • Core Sourcing experience
  • Prior Operations experience in the BPO Industry
  • Experience in leading large teams across multiple delivery centers (India & outside)
  • Negotiated contracts with penalty clauses
  • Delivered committed savings
  • Proficiency in Procurement and other business-related systems, e.g. Oracle / SAP / Ariba / Coupa / Emptoris and any other S&P tools is an advantage
  • Previous experience in Strategic Procurement, Change Management, and/or Cost Transformation Consulting / Advisory roles an advantage
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications
  • Excellent analytical skills and organizational skills
  • Experience in people management and leading cross-functional teams, desirable
