Job Description
Principal Consultant Project Manager
Project Manager will be able to manage end to end Project lifecycle from initiating the requirements to successful delivery while ensuring robust governance. He/she will handle interactions at all levels in the organization along with external clients. Along with good flexibility to work in challenging environment, he/she will be self-directed, organized and highly motivated.
Responsibilities
- Leverage strong & proven experience to manage entire project lifecycle from documenting requirements, development life cycle, creating testing strategy/test plans, facilitating UAT, liaising with the IT and the end-users and all other activities necessary to ensure delivery.
- Identify, analyze and recommend business systems solutions to management having broad business impact.
- Develop and oversee detailed project plans and metrics, work plans, schedules, resource plans and status reports.
- Identity project risks and develop risk mitigation plans.
- Attending and where applicable leading meetings at all levels with customers, other stakeholders
- Confirming and understanding the customer needs and requirements
- Motivate work of others outside of direct authority to ensure project milestones and deliverables are met.
- Convey and report status to executives, global business partners and all other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrating business related solutions, works with technical & domain SMEs to create solution and generating value adds for customers
- Can probe the customer and ask relevant questions to get the necessary clarifications on requirements and conveys the same to technical solution teams
- Managing stakeholder sign-off, anchor daily/weekly/monthly governance meetings
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelor s degree, Computer Science/Information Technology degrees preferred.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience as a project/program manager
- Hands-on experience managing schedule, quality, running governance and day to day problem solving with team/SME is must
- Insurance domain exposure is an advantage
- Strong Delivery Management, Project Management, Stakeholder Management, Risk Management and Conflict management experience
- Should be well versed with different types of IT delivery models, viz. agile / waterfall both
- Strong Customer Handling, Governance, reporting and overall ownership and accountability
- Strong leadership, problem solving, and decision-making abilities
- In-depth requirement understanding skills with strong analytical and problem-solving ability, interpersonal effectiveness, and positive attitude
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multi-cultural, dispersed and multi-party teams & working within a matrix structure to harness capabilities of the team and craft a winning proposal
- PMP or Scrum Master certification is preferred
