Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As a Sr. Lead Engineer (QA) Application Delivery & Networking domain, we look towards you as an SME with very good understanding Network Solution Architectures, Application Security, Threat Protection System and DDoS. Your role would be to build & deliver overall QA Test (Automation/Manual) Frameworks & Execution plan.
As part of Application Delivery & Network Security team, You will be responsible for ensuring high quality of next generation products and solutions.
1. Develop and drive effective test strategy and clear concise test plan, execute feature & system level test cases. Track software defect and validate the resolution through the entire project release.
2. Install, configure and maintain the hardware and software test environment
3. Apply specialized expertise in understanding issues, research and provide solutions
4. Work with engineering and support teams on improving product quality, and recreation of customer reported issues
5. Share responsibility for improving testing methodology, processes, strategies and techniques; incorporate these improvements into the overall testing process
Ability to lead a team of junior engineers, mentor them and coordinate with dev teams. Communicate Test strategy, test process, Test Results to Management and cross functional teams
Desired Candidate Profile :
- Good understanding and experience of various Test Frameworks & architectures.
- Experience in testing Cloud & Application security for DDoS Protection Solutions.
- Experience in testing features Detection/Analysis through Protocol anomaly detection, Black/white lists, Packet debugger tool.
- Experience in testing Application Attack Protection through Regular expression filter (TCP/ UDP/HTTP/SIP), HTTP request rate limit, Application request malformed check (DNS/HTTP/SIP), Signature-based IPS
- Exposure to protocol attack protection : Packet size validation, TCP/UDP/ICMP flood protection
- Experience in testing Telemetry solutions like sFlow v5, NetFlow (e.g., v9, IPFIX), High-speed logging
- Understanding of DDoS botnets & prevention of zero-day attacks
- Hand-On Networking protocols experience like Routing: static routes, BGP4+, OSPF, OSPFv3, IS-IS
- Good understanding of VLAN (802.1Q), Trunking (802.1AX), LACP, Access control lists (ACLs), Network Address Translation (NAT), MPLS traffic protection, BGP route injection, FlowSpec, IPinIP (source and terminate), GRE tunnel interface, VXLAN
- Experience on working with hypervisor; for example, VMware, ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V, and KVM.
- Experience in software test planning, documentation and process improvement
- Hands-on experience with test instruments Spirent Avalanche (Spirent Test Center - STC)
- Experience of Stress, Performance, System testing, Manual testing and Automation testing.
- Exposure to large scale distributed system testing
- Must possess good written and verbal communication skills
- Good familiarity with Linux (like) operating system.
- Proven experience in improving methods and metrics.
- Good knowledge on Defect Tracking & Management Tools.
