Job Description
- Responsible for Z/os systems programming and performance tuning of all system software including troubleshooting.
- Configure, Maintain and Troubleshoot CICS system and applications, maintain CICS table entries (RDO), concatenate load libraries, etc.
- Ensure availability of CICS regions per SLAs.
- Participate in Annual Mainframe system software upgrades which include
- Develop and execute test, communication and Implementation plans.
- Co-ordinate and facilitate software installation and testing Schedule system downtime in a way that minimizes user impact.
- As a Mainframe Software Configuration Management Tool (Endevor) Administrator,Handle standard Endevor software maintenance & enhancements
- Implement and Enhance process improvements to maximize efficiency Creation and updating of Endevor Processes, Tables, Processor Groups and Package Approval groups. Implement and Enhance JCL Standards, JCLCHECK, DB2 Bind and Web Services component generate procedures.
- Handle various Packaging operations like Package Cast, Package Reset, Package Execution, and Package Back-out during an un-successful implementation.
- Provide Compile Error and package cast error Assistance Handle Source Archival & clean-up procedures
- Maintain Documentation & provide training/assistance to the application development and Business teams as necessary.
- Provide necessary Endevor configuration data for Audit requirements and support Audits.
- Administer the Infogix s ACR Summary for Z/os, by adding new ACR reports and rules as necessary which would be used for Comprehensive balancing across all applications.
- As part of Mainframe throughput Print Processing, maintain, configure, Troubleshoot and enhance BARR Host Communications Suite, Emtex VIP and ***@OP*N used for document Publishing and Content Management (OnBase).
- Assist the security team with Z/os mainframe security and mainframe user profile issues.
- Provide technical guidance to project team areas as appropriate, evaluate vendorsupplied software packages and make recommendations and input proposals in coordination with Project Leads and senior level staff that could potentially impact systems.
- Provide technical and disaster recovery support for systems software, Plan and participate in Disaster Recovery tests at off-site facilities as necessary.
