Job Description
About the Role You will work on a variety of operational tasks for moderately complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require general knowledge of unit functions and systems. Duties may include: differentiating, processing and reconciling transactions; researching inquires; resolving customer complaints; reviewing time sensitive and/or less complex to moderately complex documents; revising departmental procedures. Coordinates situations that involve other departments. You will have moderate customer contact
Position requires superb organizational and problem solving skills, knowledge of investment bank back office processes, understanding of basic accounting principles and the ability to partner effectively with various interested parties including Traders, Bankers, Bond Counsel, Trustees, Finance and Compliance departments. Responsibilities
- Monitor both internal and external systems related to trade settlements/fail control from both trade clearance and operational risk standpoints.
- Provide support to the various trading desks and investment banking teams across Wells Fargo Securities and Wells Fargo Bank, NA.
- Monitor group inbox and promptly action customer queries
- Escalate high value fails and any foreseen issue to management in a timely manner
- University degree in Business or related discipline.
- Knowledge in trade settlement including DTCC and FED eligible securities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fluency in English.
- 12+ year s financial services operations background with demonstrated knowledge of operational functions and general industry practices.
- Ability to demonstrate analytical proficiencies
- Ability to learn multiple systems/applications quickly and strong organizational skills
- Must be willing to work overtime hours on short notice
- Experience with DTCC, Cusip, Syndicate deal accounting, GL knowledge
- Back office operations experience and trade entry
- Organized, able to deal with high volume and prioritize workload
