About the Role
Business Risk and Control Lead is expected to effectively execute the day-to-day group risk and control organizations as required. Supervise allocated team members to determine how well they function in their jobs on a day-to-day basis. Risk assessment and reporting is an important aspect of the overall responsibilities and proficiency in this area to meet the needs of various stakeholders is an essential requirement. Partner with domestic team on the approach and delivery of following Operational Risk program components, providing superior methods to view and interrogate analytical results, and making process improvement recommendations. Responsibilities
  • Partner, support and liaise closely with the all stake holders to implement all key operational risk components/ programs as applicable to support the assigned
  • Manages multiple teams or one large team, typically consisting of Business Risk Associates and Sr. Associates, and Quality Assurance Analysts.
  • Responsible for ensuring flawless Business Delivery and adherence on KPI, KRI and KCI.
  • Is actively involved in daily operations or provides oversight through subordinate managers.
  • Ensures standards are created and maintained and collaborates on or creates approaches and plans to correct problems.
  • Advises subordinates on complex issues and problems where expertise is required to interpret and administer policies, guidelines or processes.
  • Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective measures. Duties may also include: identifying and providing input regarding quality program design, performance trends, innovations, or necessary changes to improve quality or service levels
  • Maintain and update inventory of processes, risks and controls for the LOB area supported; coordinate the completion of periodic risk and control self-assessment of these processes
  • Partner and work closely with other teams to ensure key functional requirements of the supported area are translated into seamless delivery
  • Proactively and continuously promote engagement of business functions to integrate the risk and programs into daily activities/operations
  • Responsible for coaching, mentoring & effectively managing operational risk management Individual contributors
  • Effectively raises/reports issues/concerns to the management to ensure corrective actions are in line
  • Responding to ad-hoc requests for data and/or presentations from management
  • Able to read and understand the policies, procedures, training and any relevant documents to identify the adequacy, gaps or red flags which indicate the effectiveness or noncompliance to the regulations
