Job Description

Responsibilities

Cost Engineer's main responsibility is to support Global sourcing team with Cost modelling of various Wind turbine components and provide necessary inputs on Raw material, Manufacturing Process, Machinery, labor Cost, Overheads and other Cost drivers to support supplier negotiations.

To provide VA/VE inputs and ideas to sell solutions to increase process efficiency at reduced costs and to provide Engineering inputs for New Product development projects

To update and maintain the Data base for International RM price, Labor Cost, Machinery etc.,

To work on Cost out projects in External / Internal factories along with the team

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering

At least 8 years of Techno commercial experience with Solid Manufacturing & Costing Background.

Sourcing Knowledge will be an added advantage

Competencies

Solid Technical skills with Manufacturing Process of Key Electrical components like Trafo / Switchgear/ cables/ Control Panels etc.,

Solid Negotiation skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Working Knowledge in any of the should cost software (Costimator, Apriori etc.) Manufacturing exp in large foundry / heavy fabrication / welding/ heavy machining - 8(3 to 4 core exp)- part costing / product costing, MS Dynamics AX - Added Advantage (Electrical)
