Job Description/Profile Description
Job Description: The Network Security Operation Manager is responsible for the implementation, management and support of the companys network, perimeter security controls, including enterprise firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
Responsibilities include but not limited to
Manage day-to-day activities of all network and security operation aspect.
Performance monitoring
Maintaining device configurations and device hardening, managing and distribution of device firmware and software releases as needed,
Network and system trouble shooting, monitoring tools, alarm conditions as well as escalation processes and procedures
Participating in change management and root cause analysis and interfacing with field operations, equipment vendors, and network service providers as needed.
Hands-On experience on WAF, IPS/IDS, EDR, NGFW, DDoS technologies.
Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team responsible for the support and operation of enterprise-class firewalls (NGFW) and/or intrusion detection/protection systems/WAF is required.
Ensures system security needs are established and maintained for operations. Integrates new security architectural features into existing infrastructures.
Demonstrated experience in designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-class network and security technologies and architectures is required.
The job of a network operations manager demands sound understanding of wireless networking and general IT functions, UNIX and the security operations related to data network.
Thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet and TCP/IP networking.
Experience with evaluation of network, security components and services.
Excellent project leadership skills and experience.
Strong communications and organization skills
Vendor management and monitoring SLA for vendors
Willingness to learn new technologies and maintain industry knowledge
Minimum 3 years of experience managing a team responsible for the support and operation of enterprise-class firewalls and/or intrusion detection/protection systems is required.
Demonstrated team lead/supervisory experience in a similar capacity may be considered.
8 - 12 years of Network Security experience.
Qualification
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent. CCNA, CCNP, MCSE or comparable industry certification. Nice to have a CISSP.
