Position : Server Build Engineer
Location : FCA Engineering , Chennai.
Duration : Long-Term
The Server Build Engineer (BE) is responsible for automating and delivering high quality server builds in accordance with FCA application infrastructure and technology guidelines. The BE will be required to automate and build servers along with managing implementation of corresponding infrastructure components for multiple strategic, cross functional complex projects. The BE will ensure that best practices, tools, and infrastructure standards are being followed for all builds. Successful BEs have the ability to adapt quickly, problem solve and demand a high level of professionalism.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Develop server automation solutions and documentation
Manage and implement delivery of new server builds (virtual and physical)
Deliver to planned build schedules
Complete all build and configuration documentation,
Provide troubleshooting of build issues during build verification and testing
Qualifications, Experience and Competency Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors in computer related field such as Computer Science, Information Systems or Management Information Systems
Experience
Essential:
Experience with building Windows/Linux servers
Proven track record with writing Ansible automation for Windows/Linux server builds
Experience with IIS/IHS, Siteminder, .net, MS SQL Server, SAN, NAS, VMWare, ESX, HCI
Experience with interfaces to IPAM, DNS, Service Now
Strong knowledge of IT Infrastructure components and how they interrelate to form a cohesive, end to end solution
Ability to deliver complex assignments in a fast paced, intense environment with minimal supervision
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills with an ability to interact with all levels of the organization in a professional, diplomatic and tactful manner
Proficient in GSuite, MS Office, Lotus Notes. Service Now
Desirable:
