Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities
AML Reporting:
- Conduct monthly monitoring of AML parameters given by the Financial Intelligence Unit India (FIU-IND) and report to Principal Officer/ Compliance Officer.
- Conduct AML analysis and timely reporting of suspicious transactions to the Regulatory Body.
- Advise internal stakeholders on all aspects of AML compliance.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports such as Suspicious Transaction Report (STR), Cash Transaction Report (CTR), Counterfeit Currency Report (CCR), NPO Sector Transaction Report (NTR), in the given regulatory formats to FIU-IND.
- Track regulatory changes and revise internal compliance policies and process notes on AML, when required.
- Update the AML training materials and support AML training sessions, when required.
- Assess and consider all kinds of risk to review and make informed decisions around new initiatives or responses to situations.
IRDAI & IIB Regulatory Liaising:
- Liaise with regulatory bodies like IRDAI and IIB and respond to any queries.
- Conduct timely submission of regular and adhoc regulatory requirements to IRDAI and IIB.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external vendors to drive compliance to regulatory requirements.
- Drive timely implementation of any new regulations/ provisions to safeguard the company from any penalties imposed by the Regulator.
- Maintain tracker of adhoc requirements from IRDAI.
AML System:
- Assist and guide internal stakeholders on regulatory requirements to enable development of AML system automation related provisions.
- Facilitate deployment of AML solutions through coordination for system change requests, approval requirements, agreements etc. Provide technical assistance and guidance to the internal IT team.
- Facilitate coordination between the vendor and internal stakeholders on both technical and legal issues to enable smooth implementation of the AML system/ solutions.
- Assist in the development of the entire AML system automation project by providing coordination and guidance.
Vendor Coordination and Stakeholder Management:
- Facilitate interactions and coordinate between the vendor and internal stakeholders for smooth closure of teething issues in CKYC and E- Insurance.
- Liaise with internal & external stakeholders on assigned projects related to compliance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Graduate in Law
- 5 years of experience in AML and regulatory liaising in the General Insurance industry
- Working knowledge of various acts/ regulations related to IRDAI/ FIU/ PMLA/ RBI etc.
- AML certification and experience in AML reporting
- ACAMS certification
