Job Description
- Worked as Lead/ Manager in Wealth management / Fund accounting, investment operations alternative investments, and portfolio services for 12+ years
- On a day-to-day basis, the Ops manager will be responsible for driving a team of 30 -40 associates/analysts across varying tenure and skill levels. and ensuring timeliness and quality is met as per defined SLAs
- Monitor, assess, and report on team progress daily, direct priorities, and solve resourcing needs.
- Support and guide the Team members to achieve KPIs
- Plan and execute calibration sessions for the team to improve process efficiency
- Tracking KPIs and SLAs on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and having regular feedback sessions with the team members
- Ensuring timely updation of SOPs for all changes being implemented in the process
- Assisting in defining the Quality auditing methodologies and quality control standards.
- Assisting Team manager in all aspects relating to the team - training, performance management, motivation, and retention
- Continuous process improvement to reduce the number of errors/exceptions
- Responsible for doing root cause analysis for any issues and execution of corrective action plan with minimum referral to senior management
- At least 5 years' experience in private equity and alternative investments.
- Financial and operational acumen, will be interacting with Investment Operations teams, and internal Research, IT, and external Investment Management firms,
- Should have relevant asset class experience.
- Ability to read, interpret and comprehend financial documents, Familiarity
- with investment terminology and concepts
- Experience serving high profile clients and ability to represent the firm in a highly professional manner.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
- Demonstrate a structured and methodical approach
- Demonstrated judgment, integrity, initiative and leadership capabilities. Ability to operate with discretion is essential
- Constructive and problem-solving thinking, Ability to deliver on time and High attention to detail
- Good organization skills coupled with an ability to prioritize and organize large, complex workloads
- Good people management skills, written / verbal communication skills and an ability to mentor and motivate team members
- Multitasking with an ability and experience in managing multiple tasks and projects
