Senior Instrumentation Engineer @ PM Group

Job Description

Responsibilities

Your day to day role would involve the following activities:

• Coordination with other PM Group offices to understand the scope of work, deliverables, time lines, man hours etc.
• Instrumentation detailed design of cable schedule, IO Instrument List, Design Basis Report, System Architecture, Block Wiring Diagram. Preparation of Instrument Data Sheets.
• Experience in SPI tool is must. Knowledge on Standards like ANSI, ISA and IEC.
• Work experience on Instrumentation design for Pharma Bio Pharma facilities is added advantage.

Qualifications

• A degree in Instrumentation Engineering or similar discipline
• 8+ years experience with an EPC firm working on electrical services design.
• Design experience with clients from Europe and the USA is an advantage.
• Experience in OG, Chemical API Pharma Bio Pharma Sector.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Demonstrable advanced experience in the complete suite of Instrumentation engineering design services. This includes (but is not limited to) Instrument Index, IO Lists Allocation, Instrument Specs Data Sheets, Layouts, Cable Containment, Block Diagrams, System Architecture, Atex Hazardous Areas, Clean Room Applications
• Proficient in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) digital project delivery
• Advanced knowledge of all applicable Instrumentation engineering codes, standards and acceptable industry practices
• Commercially aware and have ability to undertake value engineering activities and implement new technologies where they are implemented to provide costs effective solutions for our clients
• Commercially aware on project execution, control of budgets, resourcing and change control
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents
