Job Description

Responsible for wing-to-wing execution of technical projects to deliver high quality outcomes to
internal and external customers.
Sr. Technical Project Manager role in MR is designed to help drive a predictable delivery of various MR Applications and Software features with quality and to continuously nurture & develop agile practices across scrum teams.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with functional product owner to define features backlog and requirements, works with technical team internal and external to the initiative to ensure outcomes delivery on time, within scope and budget and of desired quality.
  • Sr. Technical Project Manager will work cross functionally with technical/design leaders, architects, agile coaches, scrum masters and a team of software engineers located globally to create software integration strategy for a product release.
  • The person will be responsible for a detailed execution of software development plan, ensure adherence to critical agile metrics and will represent the global software and applications engineering in the core team of a program to drive the software schedule.
  • She/He is responsible for post market complaints management and installed base strategy when a product is released to the market. The Lead software integrator also drives New Product Introduction Install Base (IB) program execution for all the 2p and 3p applications.
  • Duties include (but are not limited to): Encourage adoption of good SW engineering practices in the scrum teams and ensure teams track & use critical Agile metrics to continuously improve quality of software delivered
  • Facilitate effective program release sprint execution, backlog readiness & forward planning for upcoming program increments by bringing together all stakeholders such as Architects, Product Owners, Functional teams across sub-systems & partners
  • Own and Resolve the SW team related dependencies impediments by working with the right stakeholder to facilitate the scrum teams in SW development Highlight program risks, impediments & dependencies to leadership team in order to facilitate mitigation
  • Work with Agile coaches to establish agile practices across program teams & facilitate agile ceremonies, guide the transition to and implementation of SAFe Represent the software group in program reviews and effectively manage escalate priority conflicts to enable making right trade-off decisions
  • Will work closely with other LPIs cross functionally and with 2p and 3p application vendors to share their road maps to MR Stake holders and visa-versa Ensuring that the product development process abides to the business Engineering Quality procedures, Phased Review Discipline and regulatory needs of the applicable markets
  • Establish Software build rhythm, Software release and design transfer activities, Software branching and merging strategies
  • Drive growth of functional and domain expertise within the team
  • Facilitate cross functional initiatives in process improvements, tools and standardization
  • Establish intermediate milestones, and report out to program and functional leaders on status, identify and drive technical/material resources issues to closure Quality Specific Goals:
  • Aware of and comply with the company Quality Manual, Quality
  • Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
  • Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverable
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities by identifying and appropriately escalating process and product quality gaps, providing solutions when possible Lead continuous improvement activities by driving the implementation of process and product quality improvement initiatives.
