SAP Ariba is the leading provider of collaborative business commerce solutions. The Intelligent Procurement Data Platform (code named PRISM) is a new platform being developed by SAP Ariba. This component is a feature-rich, high performance, scalable, Distributed Computing Platform hosted on SAP s Database as a Service (DBaaS), the SAP HANA Cloud running on AWS. PRISM supports rapid innovation for building the next generation of application in the domain of real-time analytics as well as cross product analytics. Additionally, the platform can be leveraged for building learning and evolution applications such as Conversational AI, IRPA, Search, ICM etc.
THE ROLE
The opening is for a Developer in the PRISM team. We seek individuals having solid fundamentals, who are smart, creative, good problem solvers and solid team players. The Developer would be responsible to design, develop and deploy PRISM features. The Developer would be conforming to the Agile software development methodology. In addition, the developer would have to debug customer issues in code, identify the root cause and provide timely fixes. The role requires the engineer to have hands on experience with emerging trends and technologies in the field of cloud development.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
BS degree in computer science with 2+ years of experience in Java and related technologies or fresh post-graduate with a MS degree in computer science.
Java coding skills and experience in building Microservices is required.
Exposure to building applications deployed on a public cloud (AWS, AZURE or GCP) is required.
Experience with relational databases like Oracle is required.
Experience with Object to Relational Mapping (ORM) Tools (Hibernate, JPA) and Web Services (REST, oDATA) is preferred.
Coding skills on Python are desirable.
Experience with NoSQL (document store) databases like MongoDB is desirable.
Experience with testing solutions on large-scale cloud deployments and experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Knowledge of lean development infrastructure process including Git, TeamCity, Jenkins etc. and exposure to Continuous Delivery practices.
