JD for OSS Back Office Engineer (Nokia) Administration/Installation/Upgrade/Troubleshooting experience in following products
- Nokia Netact
- Nokia 3G/LTE Trace Servers [Megamon, Megaplexer]
- Nokia 3G OMS, LTE iOMS
- Nokia EdenNet SON solution
Track and report recurring problems or failures and provide associated consequences of problems if there is a business impact to Customer
Handle daily requests / issues escalated through trouble ticket, work orders, email, phone depending on severity of issue
Identify root cause of all the issues, prepare proper Root Cause Analysis (RCA) report and recommend appropriate resolution action for network issues
Validating and maintaining the Known Error Database (KEDB) for recurring issues.
Troubleshoot system management, fault management, configuration management and performance management issues
Troubleshooting issues related to Netact Reporting Suite and take appropriate corrective actions
- Troubleshoot and support for integration with upper layer NBI systems for alarms, performance
- Coordination and provide support to all other teams like FO, BO, Performance, Roll Out, customer
Apply and follow customer security policies for daily operations & user management
Comply strictly with and follow Huawei/Customer Safety rules for network operations and change management
Daily complete Health check in all aspects including internal alarms for application, HW, DB, OS, license for Netact/ vSphere/ OMS/iOMS/Megamon/Megaplexer/EdenNet
Make periodic capacity analysis to evaluate system utilization in terms of application & HW
Timely escalation of complex issues to Nokia Care and coordination/follow up with them for earliest resolution & RCA
Follow periodic alerts issued from product line to resolve bugs and propose actions
Coordinate with Nokia Care for full advanced health check and evaluation as part of preparation for Hajj & Ramadan season
Developing SQL/Shell scripts to generate required result as required time to time e.g. daily alarm report, configuration export etc
Preparation of periodic reports as required by management
Emergency ticket handling, Shift operations and 24x7 On-call support
Be able to create ownership culture and encourage self-driven behavior among the team.
Ability to work well in a team environment
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skillsADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
System Administration of Linux/Windows environment. Linux certification will be a plus
Experience in managing Oracle DB. Oracle certification will be a plus
Understanding of virtualization and VMWare. VMWare certification will be plus
Understanding of Telecom Network and related technologies e.g. 2G, 3G, 4G, Core, IP, Transmission
Experience with trouble ticketing tools and process
Understanding and Experience of change management process and tools
Experience with any other tools/vendors will be a plus
