Senior Software Engineer - Noida - Microsoft

Responsibilities

This position is for an experienced software engineer in XBOX focusing on internal and publisher facing tools and analytics . This team has a focus on back end services, and it has front end responsibilities as well . The team also works very closely with partner teams inside of XBOX and across to power their user experiences, and to provide data to their back-end services. The right candidate for this position should have practical experience as full stack. You will be working closely with the XBOX engineering team in Redmond, USA, as well as other partner teams in Microsoft India, and should have experience working with globally distributed teams. Following are the responsibilities of a S enior engineer:

• Dealing with unknowns and ambiguity, sharpening fuzzy/unclear things into focus
• Ownership of and expertise in a medium-to-large area
• Ability to grasp basics in related areas quickly
• Strong fundamental skills including debugging and design
• Emerging leadership, technical and organizational as part of a project and engineering team

• Proposing solutions to problems and driving them to completion
• Familiarity with process (how) and customers of work (why), an understanding of the bigger picture
• Must be able to independently design system level features

Desired Skills:
8+ years of professional software development experience
4+ years of professional experience with designing, developing, and shipping highly reliable distributed systems and services
Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS
Knowledge of service technologies such as Redis, Kubernetes, Azure Data Lake
Knowledge of web technologies such as React/Angular, Javascript, HTML, CSS
